I am delighted to share with you the remarkable journey of Fast Times Screen Printing and Sign, a journey filled with dedication, innovation, and growth.
Fast Times Screen Printing and Sign was founded in 1986 by Tony Medvetz. Operating initially from his uncle’s garage, Tony tirelessly serviced the needs of local businesses, organizations, and Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). Recognizing the demand for our services, in 1992, we established our shop just off IUP’s campus, marking the beginning of our expansion into the local graphics industry.
With a steadfast commitment to quality and service, Fast Times quickly emerged as a local leader in the graphics industry, setting the standard for excellence in our community. Through strategic networking and unwavering dedication, we successfully broke into national markets, solidifying our reputation as a trusted provider of graphics and signage solutions.
In 2008, seizing an opportunity for growth, Tony and Johnny acquired a sign shop, expanding our services to include signage alongside screen printing. This strategic move further diversified our offerings and enhanced our ability to meet the evolving needs of our clients.
In 2010, we welcomed Allison Johnson as a subcontractor, adding her expertise in embroidery and promotional items to our capabilities. Allison’s contributions enriched our service portfolio, enabling us to offer a comprehensive range of solutions to our clients.
In early 2013, our journey took an exciting turn when Johnny Brennan joined as Tony’s business partner, taking on the responsibilities of sales and marketing management. Together, Tony and Johnny’s dynamic partnership propelled Fast Times to new heights of success. Shortly after, Fast Times had outgrown its location, necessitating a move to a larger, state-of-the-art facility to accommodate our expanding volume of orders. This move marked a significant milestone in our journey, reaffirming our commitment to growth and excellence.
In August of 2022, Tony made the decision to retire, paving the way for Johnny and Allison to merge their businesses and expertise, creating Johnny Cat Inc. DBA Fast Times Screen Printing and Sign. As a majority women-owned business, we continue to build on over 30 years of combined experience, serving companies across the United States with apparel, promotional items, and signage.
